The CDM Process
The CDM has a detailed approval and verification process, overseen by the UN, to ensure that emission reductions are real and measurable. The Executive Board (EB) supervises the CDM and is fully accountable to the UN.
Peony will make sure that all the necessary CDM documents are prepared, and that the project is correctly and efficiently guided through this complex process. We will also buy the CERs through an Emissions Reduction Purchase Agreement (ERPA), so that the local project developer is guaranteed an additional revenue stream.
